“The List”

The following is a list to help the customer prepare their vehicle for tuning. If you would like us to prepare the vehicle for tuning, then we will gladly complete all tasks with respective billing. All vehicles are tested to their full capabilities and must be %100 complete and ready to perform before any tuning can begin. It is most important to keep your vehicle and our staff safe! Please be sure the vehicle is:

-Full of fuel

-ALL fluids full. Engine oil, transmission fluid, brake fluid, coolant/water, methanol, nitrous, etc.

-The vehicle must be free of any significant leaks

-Street tires/ radials must be inflated to street driving pressures. 27-32 psi

-All lug nuts must be in good health and torqued

-Safety equipment must be functioning properly

-Spark plug wires must be in perfect health

-Spark plugs must be new and follow the guide below exactly

Naturally Aspirated engines must use NGK TR6 or TR6IX (Iridium) gapped .035-.040

Forced Induction up to 7 psi must use NGK TR6 gapped .027

Forced Induction from 7 to 20 psi must use NGK BR7EF gapped .024

Forced Induction +20 psi must use NGK B8EFS gapped .022

Nitrous up to 150 use NGK BR7EF gapped .027-.032

Nitrous 150-250 use NGK B8EFS gapped .027-.032

All customers are invited to spectate the dyno tuning portion. It is an exciting process which everybody should get to experience. All dyno tuning sessions are recorded in 4K audio/video. A video file will be sent after completion.

Our average tuning sessions take between 3 and 7 hours of calibration time. The vehicles are not cleared for completion, or invoiced, until they are performing to our exceptional standards.

More Tuning Information

Tuning is an extremely technical job. The vehicle receiving tuning must be %100 ready to perform before tuning can occur. This is the final act after all other work has been complete. All mechanical and electrical components are tested to their full capability. As a result, issues will be discovered during the process. Often, vehicles require additional unforeseen work while on the tuning appointment. This is perfectly normal and part of our job. Minor fixes are usually resolved quickly and allow tuning to complete as scheduled.

Most common hold ups listed below:

• Knock off injectors. OEM, Bosch, Deka are the only brands used by LSXcellence. Knock off injectors are the #1 reason for catastrophic engine failure and tuning complications.

• Faulty ignition components. Spark plug wires must be in perfect health

• Missing safety equipment

• Fire hazards

• Improper/unsafe throttle linkages

• Faulty braking system

• Major leaks

Our Tuning rates are as follows:

Stock engine with bolt ons. $299 street tuning. $199 Dyno tuning add on (optional, recommended)

Cam and/or Heads. $389 street tuning. $199 Dyno tuning add on (optional, highly recommended)

Forced Induction. Custom pricing. Dyno tuning required. Please call or email to consult.

Dyno rentals are billed respectively. Regular tuning sessions require around 1-3 hours of dyno time. We offer to travel and network with many shops in the state of Florida to meet our customer’s needs. In the case of travel, or if the customer has a preferred dyno to use, dyno fees are billed hourly per the host shop’s rate. Our hourly shop rate will be applied to travel time.

Tuning pricing will include up to 30 minutes of diagnostic and repair time. Additional time required over 30 minutes will be billed at our hourly shop rate.

In the unfortunate event of having to end the appointment due to vehicle complications, then we will advise the customer and reschedule. Dyno time and hourly services must be billed accordingly. Standard tuning pricing will not be billed until the vehicle is complete and performing to our exceptional standards.

LSXcellence takes pride in offering safe performance tunes. Getting a modified vehicle dialed in is our favorite part of this business. No matter what, we always promise to treat your vehicle as if it is our own. Like our warranty states above, we will always accept full responsibility for any damages caused by our team. LSXcellence promises to always stay conservative unless the vehicle owner has ordered otherwise.

We Guarantee the vehicle is running at its best upon release. In the event of the vehicle running poorly after tuning completion, then LSXcellence will diagnose any potential issues at no charge for 14 days after the sale date.

Our calibration will not change over time. Aging mechanical and electrical components WILL change over time and affect our tune. It is a simple fact these 10–25-year-old “Modified Performance Vehicle” will require additional maintenance and repair VS a “stock” unmodified vehicle.

***For example: A small exhaust leak, injector leak, or vacuum leak will greatly affect the vehicle performance. The proper solution is to fix the leak. NOT get a re-tune from another tuner. Our calibration will be spot on again after repairing the new mechanical or electrical condition. Please reach out and consult with us if any questions come up. We stand behind all work done here.
